The Event –

The Professional Ski Patrol Olympics is a nationwide event (with invitations extended outside of our borders) whose purpose is to provide an opportunity for friendly competition and to promote camaraderie between professional ski patrols.  In the spring of 2010 Squaw Valley USA and the Squaw Valley Ski Patrol hosted the inaugural Pro Patrol Olympics and in the spring of 2011 they put on the event again.

The competitions are held over two days and include a randonée race, beacon search, big mountain GS race, toboggan race, bamboo throw, simulated bomb throw, Recco search, and an avalanche rescue dog search competition.  Following each day of competition there will be an awards party with happy hour specials all night long.  The top three finishers in each event will be awarded prizes and the winning team takes home bragging rights.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol is proud to be hosting the third annual event on April 17-19th.  The cost per participant is $75 and includes two day lift tickets, entry into the events, entry into a raffle, and all night happy hour prices during the after-party on the 18th and 19th.  Prizes for event winners and the raffle are currently being provided by:
